That "fail quickly" comment keeps many on the sidelines. It's a DNA challenge.

Thanks for the comment mate!Jeff Marsicohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12153599647481141591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-235433516644980443.post-84230552374753865982018-03-04T21:40:02.965-05:002018-03-04T21:40:02.965-05:00Nice post as always! You hit the issue on the head...Nice post as always! You hit the issue on the head with the last words of this sentence: "Something you are not doing, will require some investment to do, and risks failing miserably." Our industry is risk adverse and most banks don't have a culture that embraces failing, which then impacts the desire by the individuals and institutions to try new things. I believe this is changing as more banks are looking to embrace and work directly with FinTechs where the culture is to work quickly and prove or disprove problems and solutions. They also do this in bites and not enterprise wide so banks need to think smaller on testing new innovations. We'll get there but the top 1-2% of innovative banks and CUs is getting smaller each year so we'll need to figure out a way to grow that %.
